What are Guest messaging?
Doorling's guest messaging is two tools in one. There's a single chat where every stay's conversations land, and there are scheduled messages that go out on their own at the moments you choose. A returning guest has just one conversation, even across several stays.
From the PRO plan, with your channels connected, Airbnb, Booking.com and Expedia chats land in the same list and you reply from Doorling, so your answer goes back to the portal the guest wrote from. At the top you'll also find enquiries that came in before booking and the questions guests ask Lobby Boy, the AI concierge in the guest portal.
Each saved message can have one or more send times. It can go out right after booking, or a set number of days before or after check-in or check-out, at the time you choose. It goes by email, in chat or both, with the stay's details filling the placeholders, such as name, dates, times, nights and the check-in link. If the guest speaks another language the message goes out translated, using your translation if you've written one, or otherwise an automatic translation made when it's sent.

Reply from one chat
Messages from connected portals and questions for Lobby Boy land in the same list, with an unread count.
Frequently asked questions about Guest messaging
All answersNo. They go out by email and in chat, either the chat of the portal the guest wrote from (Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia) or, if there isn't one, Doorling's guest portal chat. For WhatsApp there's a button that opens the conversation with the text ready, and you hit send yourself.
Yes, if you've connected your channels on the PRO plan. Reply from Doorling's chat and the message reaches the portal where the guest wrote. The guest has to start the conversation, because the portals don't let hosts go first. Vrbo doesn't have a chat that can be connected.
In their own. Doorling uses the language chosen in the guest portal or the one they wrote in, otherwise their country. If you wrote the translation it uses yours, otherwise it translates automatically. In the chat you also see the guest's messages translated into your language.
In your email inbox, because emails go out with your address as the reply-to. Doorling keeps the conversations from the portals and the guest portal.
It's the AI assistant that talks to guests in the portal. It answers in their language using your property's information, such as times, house rules, guidebook, add-on services and neighbourhood. It only gives out Wi-Fi and codes once check-in is approved, and it never makes anything up, because if a piece of information is missing it asks the guest to message you. You'll find every exchange in Doorling's chat.
They're included in every plan, like chat translation and Lobby Boy. Only “Improve” and “Suggest reply” use AI credits (2 credits), plus translating a saved message into the other 15 languages (3 credits per language). The PRO plan includes 300 credits a month, ULTRA 1000.
